1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using NewsPing (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

NewsPing captures and aggregates publicly-sent push notifications from major news organizations. The Service provides a searchable feed, analytics, and data export tools for subscribers.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address and create a password to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

NewsPing offers paid subscription plans (Pro and Team). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. All payments are processed by Stripe.

• Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the current period ends
• You can cancel at any time through the billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis; contact support within 7 days of charge
• Prices may change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Resell, redistribute, or publicly republish NewsPing data without permission
• Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or access controls
• Use automated tools to scrape the web interface (use our API instead)
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

6. API Access

API access is available on the Team plan. API keys are subject to reasonable rate limits. We reserve the right to revoke API access for abuse. You are responsible for securing your API keys.

7. Intellectual Property

The notification content displayed on NewsPing originates from third-party news organizations. NewsPing does not claim ownership of this content. The NewsPing platform, code, design, and branding are the property of NewsPing.

The aggregation, indexing, and analytics we provide constitute a transformative use of publicly broadcast notification data for research and informational purposes.

8. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that notifications will be captured without delay or omission. News organizations may change their notification behavior at any time.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NewsPing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users at least 30 days before taking effect.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
