Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.

Payment information: Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status but never your credit card number or full payment details.

Usage data: We collect basic usage analytics such as page views and feature usage to improve the service. We do not use third-party tracking scripts or sell your data.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Data We Collect from News Apps

NewsPing captures publicly-sent push notifications from news organization mobile applications. This data includes notification titles, bodies, timestamps, and categories. This information is publicly broadcast to all users of those applications and is not private or personal data.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Cloudflare's global infrastructure. Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2-SHA256 with 100,000 iterations. API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes. All data in transit is encrypted via TLS.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Notification data is retained indefinitely to provide historical analytics. If you delete your account, your personal data (email, name, payment references) will be removed within 30 days.
